ADBRO inventory is available for Private Marketplace Programmatic Buying using Google DV360 DSP. Setting up Private Marketplace Campaign contains of the three major steps:
Your Account Manager will be helping you during the entire setup process.
Uploading ADBRO Creatives to DV360
ADBRO uses Advertisement Tags to serve Rich Creatives. During the Campaign setup process, your Account Manager will provide you with a list of Tags that needs to be added to DV360 Advertiser's Creatives library:
- Go to Advertisers list on DV360 Home Screen and choose an Advertiser to set up Campaign for
- Go to Creatives section and select New > Third party > Third-party display:
- Fill in Name, Dimensions, Landing page URL and Third-party tag fields provided by your Account Manager in the Basic details section, check Requires HTML5 checkbox and click Save button:
Note: If you're planning to use any third-party tracking, it's better to set it up on ADBRO side for more accurate measurements. Please contact your Account Manager to learn more about supported third-party tracking. - Wait for the Creatives to become Servable
Creatives review by Google DV360 Team may take up to 8 business hours. Until then, Creative can not be associated with any Line Item.
Please note that:
- Google DV360 Preview shows only In-Image part of a Creative due to the Preview window limitations. Feel free to contact your Account Manager for the fully-functional preview links
- Google DV360 supports only one Landing page URL to be specified, but multiple Exits can be specified on the ADBRO side: How to use Multiple Landing Pages in one Creative?
- After becoming Servable, some Creatives may be rejected by an external exchange (AppNexus or Verizon Media) due to their internal policies. Such rejections do not affect Campaign delivery in any way
Creating Inventory Deal in DV360
ADBRO creates unique Deals for every new Campaign. In most cases, one Campaign can be delivered using single Deal, but in some cases (e.g. Multiple Formats or Multiple Languages) your Account Manager may request multiple Deals to be created.
- Go to Inventory > My Inventory section from DV360 Home Screen and choose New > New non-guaranteed inventory Deal:
- Fill in Name, ID, Seller Name and Rate fields provided by your Account Manager, and then select:
a. Exchange: BidSwitch (see How to opt into ADBRO Exchange on Google DV360? in case BidSwitch is not available for your Partner account)
b. Inventory format: Display
c. Creative requirements: 320x90 and 640x95
d. Rate type: CPM (Fixed)
e. Start date: Today
f. Advertiser: An Advertiser to set up Campaign for - Click on Save button and move on to the Campaign creation
Setting up Campaign in DV360
In order to properly utilize ADBRO first-party data targeting, we recommend the following Campaign configuration steps:
- Go to Advertisers list on DV360 Home Screen and choose an Advertiser to set up Campaign for
- Create New Campaign with the following Goal settings:
a. Overall campaign goal: Raise awareness of my brand or product
b. KPI: CPM with the Rate from Deal
c. Creative type: Display - Configure Campaign Inventory source to skip Public Inventory:
a. Quality: Authorized and Non-Participating Publishers
Note: All the Publishers on ADBRO platform are authorized with ads.txt and are constantly validated by 3 parties: ADBRO, BidSwitch Exchange and DSP. It is possible to use the default "Authorized Direct Sellers" setting for the Quality, but we recommend choosing "Non-Participating Publishers" as well due to the possible delays with ads.txt processing by Google DV360.
b. Public Inventory: click Edit and unset "Target new exchanges" checkbox
c. Deals and Inventory Packages and Groups: Empty - Minimize any optional Targeting settings:
- Click on Create and move on to Insertion Orders configuration
For easier Budgeting and Reporting, it's recommended to create single Insertion Order for Campaign, even if multiple Deals are targeted:
- Click on New Insertion Order and select Real-time bidding insertion order type
- Fill in Name and set Status to Active
- Configure Budget and Pacing options:
a. Budget: depending on the Campaign delivery and schedule
b. Pacing: Flight > ASAP
Note: ADBRO automatically controls Pacing on the Deal level, so setting up Pacing in DV360 may result in an underspending.
c. Optimization: Control bid and budget at the line item level - Click on Create and go to recently created Insertion Order in order to create Line Items:
The last step required to prepare Campaign for the launch is to create a new Line Item:
- Click on New Line Item button on the Insertion Order Line Items list
- Choose Display line item type in order to assign Creatives to the Insertion Order
- Fill in Name and set Status to Active
- Configure Inventory source options: select Deal created during "Creating Inventory Deal in DV360" step within Deals and Inventory Packages option:
- Configure Budget and Pacing and Bid Strategy options:
a. Pacing: Flight > ASAP
b. Bid strategy: set Fixed bid to Deal's CPM - Assign Creatives created during "Uploading ADBRO Creatives to DV360" step to the Line Item:
Note: In case of multiple Deals, only Creatives uploaded for the current Deal should be assigned to the Line Item. Valid mappings will be provided by your Account Manager. - Click on Create and move on to Campaign activation
